Simple Past Tense

This explanation below is the simple concept of simple past tense.
Check it out.

Simple past tense divided into two:
a. Verbal Sentence
The rule is S+V2+Obj
Means u have to use VERB on your sentences

For example.
She swept the floor fastly (+)
She did not sweep the floor (-)
Did she sweep the floor? (?)

Or

Andi hunted the lion in the jungle(+)
Andi did not hunt the lion in the jungle (-)
Did Andi hunt the lion in the jungle? (?)

b. Nominal Sentence
The rule is S+to be (was/were)+adjective/adverb/noun

For example.
She was happy (+)
She was not happy (-)
Was she happy? (?)

Or

They were so smart (+)
They were not so smart (-)
Were they so smart?(?)
